Before you know it, you have fallen into a cultural pit or been caught in a cultural trap. Even if you speak a common language, you cannot be sure you understand what is going on behind the scenes. Values, traditions, symbols, attitudes to time and appointments, the crucial factors are based on unwritten rules. Knowing the cultural code is the key to success.
